Tiara Cupcakes

As the holidays get closer I’ve been getting busier.  My two most recent orders, ironically enough, had nothing to do with the holidays, but instead involved tiaras.  One was for a little girl’s birthday party and the other was for a baby girl shower (the mom-to-be requested hot pink instead of pastel pink).

At last…more pictures :)

It’s been awhile, but I finally have more pictures to share!  These have been from miscellaneous projects over the summer, including a cupcake tasting and two more weddings. Between cupcake order/events and, well, my actual day job, it’s been a crazy summer!  Enjoy!

I hope to be experimenting with some new fall flavors soon – stay tuned!

Field Day Desserts

So this weekend’s project was for my uncle’s Radio Club Field Days.  My mom has been catering desserts for this event for the last couple years and this year I was recruited to help by bringing my cupcakes.  What fun!  Mom and Daughter Duo! 🙂  Mom made all of the other desserts, I can’t take any credit whatsoever.  Did I mention I get my baking talent and love of cooking from my momma? 🙂  By request, I made my banana cream pie, raspberry swirl, and margarita cupcakes.  Mom made all sorts of amazing things: apricot bars, german chocolate cakes, a phenomenal blueberry thing, cake balls, peach cobbler, apple cobbler, pecan pie bars, and frito bars.  I think I might have messed up the technical names, but you get the idea…good stuff!! 🙂

Good luck not drooling all over your keyboard 🙂

That’s my Momma!! ^ ^ ^

Strawberry Lemonade Debut!

I added my newest flavor, Strawberry Lemonade, to the menu about a month ago, and here it is in all its glory!  Strawberry cupcake made with fresh pureed strawberries, topped with a tart lemonade buttercream frosting.  In this picture I garnished it with a strawberry drizzle.  The perfect summer treat!! 🙂

My first cupcake wedding reception!

It’s been a crazy week!  I had a couple regular orders, plus my first wedding reception order!  The wedding reception was actually for a friend of the family, so it was honor to have the opportunity to do cupcakes for their reception.  Their wedding colors were purple and silver and they chose 6 different flavors (lemonberry, raspberry swirl, red velvet, chocolate, maple pecan, chocolate peanut butter).  So…it was a lot of work, but 312 cupcakes and lots of fondant later…totally worth it 🙂  It was a beautiful day and everything came together perfectly!

Now I think I’ll take a nice long nap…
