So I’ve been working on a new technique – the hydrangea!  Ok so it’s probably not so new in the cake decorating world, but it is to me :p  The hydrangea is my absolute favorite flower.  It’s delicate, beautiful, and so…fluffy.  I saw a picture while I was browsing the interwebs (a.k.a. the internet) and thought “hey, I bet I can do that”.  So with my trusty Wilton tip, the perfect combination of icing gels, and a whole lotta patience…I’m pretty sure this is totally my favorite technique now.

Oh, and the cake underneath is chocolate, in case you were wondering.  Tasty, but nowhere near as pretty as what’s on top of it 🙂
